Mobility Electronics Introduces iGo(R) everywhere130 Power Adapter

Mobility Electronics Introduces iGo(R) everywhere130 Power Adapter

New Combination AC/DC Adapter Offers Power Solutions for Desktop Replacements, Multimedia and Big Screen Portable Computers

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mobility Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:MOBE), a leading provider of innovative portable power and computing solutions for the mobile electronic device user, announced today that it is now shipping the iGo everywhere130 power adapter designed to offer power solutions for big screen, multimedia, and desktop replacement portable computers.

The iGo everywhere130 is compatible with more portable computer brands and models than any other power adapter on the market. It leverages Mobility Electronics' patented itip(TM) technology which allows users to power and charge virtually all major brands of mobile electronic (ME) devices with a single adapter and interchangeable tips.

Bundled with the iGo dualpower(R) accessory, everywhere130 enables simultaneous powering of a portable computer plus a low-power ME device such as a mobile phone, handheld/PDA, digital camera, or MP3 player.

The everywhere130 is a new, more powerful generation of the successful iGo EverywherePower(R) 7500 Series AC/DC combination power adapter and will replace it in the Company's product line-up. By offering both AC and DC power capabilities, the adapter eliminates the need to purchase and carry separate AC and DC adapters and lets users power and recharge from multiple power sources, including standard wall, in-vehicle and airplane in-seat power outlets.

The everywhere130 is expected to be available nationwide in major electronic superstores including RadioShack(R), Best Buy(R) and CompUSA(R) in September. It is available today at www.igo.com.

"The high-power, big-screen portable computers are quickly gaining popularity and are a fast growing segment of the portable computer market," said Charles Mollo, chief executive officer of Mobility Electronics. "The new iGo everywhere130 is an important addition to our product line."

The iGo everywhere130 power adapter and the branded versions manufactured for Mobility's strategic partners offer the following key features and benefits:

* Mobility Electronics' patented itip technology -- allows users to
power and charge virtually all major brands of ME devices with a
single adapter and interchangeable tips

* Fully integrated AC and DC power adapter -- eliminates the need to
purchase and carry separate AC and DC adapters and lets users power
and recharge from multiple power sources, including standard wall,
in-vehicle and airplane in-seat power outlets

* Included iGo dualpower accessory -- enables simultaneous powering of
a notebook plus a low-power mobile electronic (ME) device such as a
mobile phone, handheld/PDA, digital camera, or MP3 player

* Provides 130 watts of peak output power -- supports 90 and 120 watt
notebooks with features such as large screens, high-end video cards
and desktop-replacement processors

* Automatic voltage and current regulation -- eliminates the need to
select voltage manually and ensures portable computers and other
devices receive the appropriate amount of power

* Automatic temperature protection -- results in much cooler operation,
higher reliability and a longer useful life than competing power
adapters
